Recovery/Post-Op Expectations:

Recovery is similar to having a cavity filled. The patient may experience some discomfort or tenderness in the area. Ibuprofen can reduce the symptoms.

Complications:

While complications are unlikely, it is possible that the tooth may fracture, resulting in the need for removal or root canal therapy. This typically only happens if there are stress fractures present in the tooth or the amount of tooth structure is severely compromised.
